Christopher Chosen to
Judge the
2007-2008 Daytime
Emmy Awards
Again, Christopher has been chosen to serve as one of the
"Blue Ribbon Judges" for this year's 35th Annual Daytime Emmy
Awards. "I have been one of the judges for
the Daytime Emmys for over 10 years now," Christopher says, "and it
is always an honor to be chosen to judge them every year. When
you realize that the Academy trusts your opinion on such important categories,
it is very flattering and it's always great to see the reactions
of the winners every year when they hear their name called. They've put
in a lot of hard work to get to that point and they deserve that recognition." The categories that Christopher is judging this year cannot be disclosed until
after the awards are presented, however last year he judged the categories of
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress In
A Drama Series.

Emmy Trivia:
The name "Emmy" is a feminization of “Immy”, a term
commonly used for the early image orthicon camera tube. The statue was designed
by Louis McManus, an engineer at Culver City's Cascade Pictures. He used his
wife, Dorothy, as his model. McManus's design was the last of 48 entries in an
Emmy design competition. His prize was a plaque of appreciation, not an Emmy.
